Prior to forming Asten in 2007 Dr. Wuttke was licensing academic technologies at Mount Sinai School of Medicine's Office of Industrial Liaison where she successfully negotiated over 150 academic and commercial agreements. Before joining Mount Sinai, Dr. Wuttke performed due diligence and market and product analysis at Symphony Capital, a biotech private equity fund with $315MM of committed capital under management. She was involved in all aspects of the investment process, including diligence on over 150 potential investment opportunities and deep dive diligence on over 15 portfolios across numerous therapeutic areas with over 50 products.  Dr. Wuttke was also a consultant at Wilkerson Partners, a health care consultancy, where she worked with multinational companies. Projects included the development of strategic plans with a focus on potential acquisitions, pipeline analysis of the US subsidiary of a global generics company and R&D prioritization with a focus on licensing strategies. Dr. Wuttke completed her doctoral work in Pharmacology at the Weill Graduate School of Medical Sciences of Cornell University where she received a number of academic honors. Before beginning her graduate studies, she worked as an HIV/AIDS Clinical Research Coordinator at Beth Israel Medical Center AIDS Clinical Trials Unit managing a broad range of trials. Dr. Wuttke earned her B.A. in Biology and Society at Cornell University, College of Arts and Sciences.

Before Asten’s formation in 2007, Dr. Wuttke was with the U.S. Major Pharmaceuticals group in the Equity Research Department of Credit Suisse where he evaluated marketed and investigational pharmaceutical products and modeled therapeutic areas. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Dr. Wuttke consulted to the healthcare industry with Booz Allen Hamilton, where his clients included global pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. His projects included an analysis of R&D productivity and pipeline success within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, strategy development to balance multi-national clinical manufacturing operations for a top-10 pharmaceutical company and review of the FDA's regulatory approval process. Prior to joining Booz Allen, Dr. Wuttke managed the sales and marketing team at Cognia Corporation, a life-science information management company based in New York City. At Cognia, Dr. Wuttke directed a team of 5 sales representatives to generate a sales pipeline of over 200 pharmaceutical, biotech and academic customers resulting in $2.7MM in sales. Dr. Wuttke was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Cornell University's Weill Medical College where he published his results in leading peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Wuttke holds a Ph.D. in Biology (Genetics) from Temple University and a B.S. in Biology from St. Joseph's University.
